November 24, 2022 - have to retain these adjective endings, but the rules don’t compute in my brain. it feels easier to just employ trial and error until I get the right ending. (ий and ый sound similar in spoken Russian anyway)
(also, can you tell that I love direction words?)

November 23, 2022 - updated my vaccine record! got lost in the depressing-looking clinic, only had to wait чуть-чуть (a little bit) after it was done (about two minutes) and I was told not to shower for 3 days 🤨 at least it’s kinda interesting to have a Kyrgyz vaccination card?

November 22, 2022 - sunrise picture in the mountains from last year when I stayed overnight in a yurt and awoke to the noise of horses grazing

November 21, 2022 - snow/ice pic from last Thursday morning (it snowed last Wednesday but it’s all melted now)

November 11, 2022 - the garlands being put on display close to toilet brushes was really off-putting to me…they look similar, no?
(surprised to see garlands out when winter holidays aren’t until Dec 31 and the new year. Don’t remember seeing these out in November last year)

November 10, 2022 - I had no idea where Kyrgyz goverment ministers actually worked and found the place using a local maps app 2GIS (which apparently isn’t in app stores atm due to sanctions?).
Looks like a cool building from the outside, will have to stop by and take my own pics

November 9, 2022 - yesterday the weather forecast showed that it was 90% certain about snow today – it did snow a little bit!
And then it all melted by noon 😆

November 8, 2022 - consensus: funny or just me?
I first read the name of the store “iCon” as ‘I’ plus the verb ‘con’. I thought, ‘oh, that makes sense because it’s not a real Apple store’.
Then I realized the name was meant to be the word “icon”

November 4, 2022 - admiration for my student who brings me something daily. She said this is a Uyghur snack and told me the name in Russian, but I couldn’t make sense of it. Had to search around in Chinese to find it: 撒子. Baidu calls it a Chinese snack

November 3, 2022 - if I had had a license and car, I wouldn’t have had to wait at the bus stop this evening
